Specialized Intensive Care Unit

Critical Care Expertise

With a dedicated unit located on the 4th floor, our 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is staffed to provide a critical level of care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The nurse-patient ratio is individualized based on severity of illness or injury. Our staff of highly-skilled nurses provide constant, compassionate care during this critical stage of the patient’s illness.

Step Down Unit Provides Individualized Care

Our 12-bed Stepdown Unit (SDU) located next to the ICU is staffed to provide an intermediate level of care for patients who are more stabilized, but need closer observation for a period of time set by the physician.  The nurse-patio ratio is based on severity of illness at a lower level than  the ICU.  Stepdown Unit staff consist of highly-skilled registered nurses and assistants who provide individualized care.

Both units maintain capability to manage critical care patients with state-of-the-art cardiac monitoring systems.
