What is a Capsule Endoscopy?

A Capsule Endoscopy is a procedure that uses a tiny wireless camera to take pictures of your diestive tract. The camera sits inside a vitamin-sized capsule that you swallow. The capsule travels through your digestive tract, taking thousands of pictures that are transmitted to a recorder you wear on a belt around your waist. A capsule endoscopy is used to evaluate unexplained anemia or abnormal x-rays that suggest small intestine disease.
