Visiting Hours
The Visitation Policy of Northern Hospital of Surry County is created to be medically and psychologically beneficial to patients. All visitors should enter through the Main Lobby. Assistance is available from the Volunteers at the Information Desk in the Main Lobby, or from the Operator when the Desk is not staffed. Northern Hospital offers expanded visiting hours for the benefit of both patients and visitors.

General Visiting Hours:
6:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Overnight guests will be required to obtain and display an overnight visitor?s badge. The badges may be obtained at the Emergency Department Entrance Information Window.

Birthing Center Hours:
6:00 AM - 9:00 PM
All overnight guests must obtain an overnight visitor badge and display the badge between the hours of 9:00pm and 6:00am. Overnight badges may be obtained at the Emergency Department Entrance Information Window.

Parking:
Overflow parking for patients/visitors is available in the Worth Street Parking Lot near the helipad.

In order to promote patient comfort and rest, we ask to limit visitors to no more than two persons per patient and ask that each visit is limited to 10-15 minutes. Visitation by children should be limited to those ages 12 and older Fresh flowers, plants, and balloons are not allowed in the ICU due to space limitations.
