Back to job listings PC/LAN ENGINEER Type of Employment: Full Time/First Shift Department: Information Systems Reports To: Director of Information Systems Required Experience:    The successful candidate would have to pass competencies for this position    Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly and fluently    Must be able to communicate and work well with others    Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP certificate)    Associate degree in Electronics and minimum three years work experience in a computer-related engineering position    Experienced in repair of multiple devices and brands    Experienced in network protocols such as TCP/IP, IPX and LAT    Experienced with Microsoft Windows (various versions) and simple DOS commands    Must be able to perform personal computer, printer and other peripheral device setup and installation    Must be able to troubleshoot and repair simple desktop computer, applications and network errors    Must be reliable and able to work unsupervised    Must be able to take call as scheduled    Must perform computer device preventive maintenance    Must be able to physically transport self and necessary materials or equipment to on and off-site locations    Must have an acceptable driving record and meet all other requirements as listed by the hospital's liability insurance carrier. Minimum age of 23 years. Preferred Experience:    Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or certification in progress    Experience in computer and network support in hospital or medical environment    Experience with Windows NT, server setup and installation    Experience with network application and device installation and maintenance    Experience in LAN (Local Area Network) and/or WAN (Wide Area Network) hardware configuration (hubs, routers, etc.) and cabling installation
