Tobacco Free Campus

 

Northern Hospital of Surry County (NHSC) is committed to the prevention of disease and the promotion of health and healing. NHSC recognizes that tobacco and tobacco products are a health and/or safety hazard. This policy applies to all persons, including employees, physicians, patients, visitors, volunteers, contract workers, students, and tenants.


The use of cigarettes and all tobacco products is prohibited on any of NHSC's campuses. This includes all buildings, parking lots and parking areas, and roadways that run through and/or surround any NHSC campus or property. The use of cigarettes and all tobacco products is also prohibited in all hospital owned vehicles or any vehicle on NHSC campuses.
