Northern Hospital Lifeline Announces Daphne Turner Scholarship Fund



Northern Hospital Lifeline recently announced the Daphne Turner Scholarship Fund, which will allow those in the community who qualify to remain living independently at home for a reduced rate.  The Philips Lifeline service is the leading medical alert service in the industry. Philips Lifeline is a medical alert designed to reduce the risk of living alone. In the event of a fall or emergency, help is available at the push of a button   Lifeline offers seniors the service that gives them, for a little more than a dollar a day, the confidence to continue to live independently at home.

This scholarship fund was set up by Philips Lifeline as a thank you to Daphne Turner for her 15 years of service to the seniors in the community.  Through her dedication and commitment to the community, Daphne was able to grow Northern’s subscriber base to over 700 seniors in its service area.

Northern Hospital of Surry County is a 133-bed, all-private room community hospital located in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Northern Hospital opened its doors to patients in 1957.
